About Parnasa Match
Parnasa Match began as an idea from a member of the Baltimore Jewish community: make it easier for job seekers to find real referral paths through people who already want to help.
The idea originally won a local community pitch contest in 2020. An early prototype was built, but after that it stayed on the shelf for five years. There was not enough time, budget, or technical capacity to turn it into something people could actually use.
Recent advances in AI development tools changed what was possible. They made it realistic to revive the original idea and build it into a working platform: one where seekers can ask for help on specific jobs, and referrers can respond with context, privacy, and control. On a whim one evening in 2026, when a chavrusa canceled, the idea emerged again.
Parnasa Match is now live. It's not a guarantee, or a replacement for hishtadlus or siyata d’Shmaya. It's just a more efficient way for people in the community to help each other find parnasa.
